Florence, Oregon

We took off the morning of June 8Th, and Bob came over before we left and showed off his bare face...look Ma no mustache!!!...so now we call him "Baby-faced Bob", or as Ted calls him, BOOB.




We stopped in Winchester Bay for a short break........

.....where we saw an old Norwegian ship.....

When we got to Florence Oregon, we ran into the SI's and some very dear friends....

Mr. Rags, my sweet doggy friend....

....and his dear mistress.....Judy D.

. .....and her new puppy...Ollie'

....and of course, Miss Suzanne F. ...........

........and of course we went geo caching (with Judy, its bad enough, but add Suzanne, and she

is twice as bad as Judy). But we did have a blast, and I was a 'GEO CACHE VIRGIN' !!!

Of course the Oregon Coast is noted for its Light House's......

Actually, the view's were worth all the hiking, it was stupendous !!!!

......and yes, I became as bad as Judy and Suzanne......

This one was at a Cemetery, Suzanne found it from where she was

standing, then made us find it......show-off !!
Actually, I found this one, she is dramatically putting it back.....

More intriguing trees....

Ted took us to Cape Perpetua, very high up,so we could see where we had been.....

......and speaking of the 'Rocky Horror Movie Show', the man eating plant was really

called a ................................
Darlingtonia californica: note the small entrance to the trap underneath the swollen "balloon" and the colourless patches that confuse prey trapped inside.

This was a geo cache also, but the plants were so interesting, I can't remember if we got it or not.
